"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:21
November 2021
Dear Friends of the Parish,
Who would have thought that well into 2021 we would still be in the COVID-19 pandemic mode?
But thanks to you, All Saints is so resilient! We have moved worship from strictly online to in-person (with safety guidelines) and Zoom, and now incorporate Facebook Live, offering live services on three accessible platforms! While we have changed so much about how we worship and how we connect to one another, one thing has remained constant: our loving, generous All Saints faith community.
Now is the time of year when we need to ask for your financial support. Our stewardship theme this year is “So Much Better Together.” I imagine the hands in the logo belonging to each and every one of us. I see hands reaching up to say, “I’ll give my time and volunteer.” I see hands saying, “I’ll support All Saints by sharing my treasure.”
The pandemic continues to impact our budget. Our building use revenue and fundraising activities remain lower than hoped for. Because of this, we deeply appreciate every parishioner who has kept his or her pledge up-to-date, made additional donations when possible, and offered their time and talent to serve.
Sunday, November 21, is Dedication Sunday, and we hope you will be moved by the spirit of our still vital, thriving community to pledge what you can to validate the power of All Saints in our lives. If you have never pledged before, try it on for size this year!
Last year, our annual giving campaign yielded $175, 867. We would love to see our community giving grow to $200,000 for 2022. If our 84 pledging units could increase their giving by $5.53 a week, we could do it! Of course, any new pledges are most welcome and wished for!
Here are ways you can express your community spirit with All Saints:
• Snail Mail the enclosed pledge card to All Saints Episcopal Church, 46 Cherry St., Danvers, MA 01923 by November 20th
• Online giving. Do direct-deposit through your bank (enclosed is an automatic pledge payment form which you can mail in), or visit our website, and download the Online Giving Form. If you have any questions, you may contact our treasurer at asns.treasurer@gmail.com or call 978-777-1816.
• Or, since you're here, simply click to pledge online!
Please know how very grateful we are for your generosity! God Bless and remember
– we are so much better together!!
Faithfully,
Gail Arnold, Co-warden
Sue Spencer, Co-warden
Even as we work to wrestle down our deficit, our collective spirit soars in hope and love as we seek to serve, invite, welcome and embrace, and to put our faith in action, loving God by serving others. We can accomplish all this because of your support and generosity. And, because we're so much better together!
