"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:21
November 2023
Dear All Saints:
Most of us know the song written by Irving Berlin, “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep,” from the classic movie, “White Christmas.” But it is appropriate at any time.
What exactly is a blessing? The dictionary defines it as a favor, mercy or benefit, “a favor or gift bestowed by God.” Counting blessings is to appreciate the good things in one’s life; to be grateful for what one has. With all that is going in the world, isn’t this the best time to count one’s blessings?
It’s not a big stretch for us to count All Saints as a major blessing. For many of us, All Saints continues to shine as a bright beacon of hope, faith and love -- a space and community where we are not alone; we are not strangers. All Saints opens its arms and welcomes all of us to come together to share life’s many joys and even its sadness – together -- offering caring and support within our walls and beyond. Honestly, most of us cannot even fathom where we would be without it.
So, count the blessing of All Saints by supporting all Saints through our annual stewardship campaign. We know times are tough. But they would be so much tougher without our beloved church. We deeply appreciate every parishioner who has kept his or her pledge up to date, made additional donations when possible, and offered their time and talent to serve.
Sunday, November 20 is Dedication Sunday. We hope you will be moved to pledge what you can to validate the power of All Saints in our lives. If you have never pledged before, please consider pledging this year! Truly, no amount is too small!
Last year, half of our pledging families increased their giving to yield $167,012 for our operating fund. Wouldn’t it be a blessing if our community giving could grow to $190,000 for 2023? If our 73 families increased their giving by $26 a month, we could do it! Of course, all new pledges are most welcome!
Here are ways you can express your community spirit at All Saints:
• Snail Mail the enclosed pledge card to All Saints Episcopal Church, 46 Cherry St., Danvers, MA 01923 by November 18th
• Direct-Deposit through your bank (fill out an automatic pledge payment form below or request one from the Parish Office, 978-774-1150. Questions? Contact our treasurer at asns.treasurer@gmail.com.
• Online pledging which you can do below.
Please know how incredibly grateful we are for your generosity! God Bless and remember – together we can build on our blessings!

Even as we work to wrestle down our deficit, our collective spirit soars in hope and love as we seek to serve, invite, welcome and embrace, and to put our faith in action, loving God by serving others. We can accomplish all this because of your support and generosity. And, because we're really so much better together!
