Experience the Real Meaning of Easter at All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore

DANVERS, MA -- Bring the whole family to enjoy the glory of Easter at the festive Eucharist at All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore on Sunday, April 21, 2019. There will be one celebratory service at 10 a.m. that will feature the triumphant sound of trumpets, fanfare, choir and – immediately following the service – an all-out Easter egg hunt on the church green featuring 600 eggs filled with candy.

All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore is located at 46 Cherry Street, Danvers, on the corner of Cherry and Holten Streets, directly across the street from Danvers Town Hall. Ample on-street parking is available with additional free parking at the adjacent Elm Street Municipal Lot.

Everyone is invited to this Alleluia Day – all faiths, no faiths, sinners, doubters … EVERYONE! Be who you are, come as you are. And be known by your name … we always like to ask, and we remember, because you're important to us.

The festive Easter celebration culminates after an intensely emotional and immersive Lenten week that includes:

Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019 10:00 a.m. (one service only)

Liturgy of Palms, Outdoor Procession and Choral Eucharist

Maundy Thursday, April 18, 6:00 p.m.

Agape Meal in Parish Hall with foot washing, stripping of the altar, overnight prayer vigil in the garden of Gethsemane (Chapel) in one-hour slots from 8:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m.

It was on this day – the Thursday before his crucifixion, that Jesus celebrated the final Passover with his disciples and -- in a beautiful act of humility -- washed their feet. He then commanded them to do the same for each other.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.: -- John 13:34

Good Friday, April 19, 2019

All Saints' Sanctuary open for prayer and reflection from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Danvers Interfaith Partnership hosts a youth activity day from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. ending with prayer at 3:00 p.m. - Maple Street Church.

Easter Vigil, April 20, 2019

Great Vigil of Easter and Holy Eucharist 7:00 p.m.

After a long, mournful Lent, we'll light a fire outdoors to illuminate our faith and carry its flame into the church to offer the first official celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus.

Find solace, Spirit and joy with us; invite others to share the pew beside you.

Everyone is welcome to God's house, and to his table. Everyone.
